I love a vintage piece but I feel it looks even better if you pair it with some more modern up to date elements. It makes it far more wearable and a bit more of an individual style statement especially with this AMAZING bejewelled necklace from Jewel Shack.
This home made tin can wind chime went down a storm, and helped to get Rex out of the paddling pool and sun for a while. It looks really fun and pretty in the garden. Come to think of it, it would make a lovely home made gift too.
Super easy to make all you need is pictured below and follow the pics. Rex did it all mostly by himself including the eating of what was originally in the cans. The only bit I helped with was the making of holes. Oh and I painted a few too. x
I just love a dungarees. Not just for myself but on my kids too. Maybe they just make me feel like a big kid but I don't always want to look like one in them. So to make them a bit more grown up for the adults Ive teamed them with a trench and classic men's striped shirt and gold brogues. I think styling dungarees with classic separates makes the whole more look a bit more grown up and wearable.
What do you think dungarees a do or a don't?
TRENCH VINTAGE BURBERRY, SHIRT UNIQLO, DUNGAREES MISS SELFRIDGE, GOLD BROGUES WEEKEND BY JOHN LEWIS, WATCH MICHAEL KORS.
Haven't done a style post for an age body confidence has been low due to mum tum and feeling a bit frumpy and dumpy after having baby number two. Then I thought stuff it my body has done a miraculous thing and produced two beautiful children, what am I ashamed off. Then there was a problem most of my clothes still don't fit and my body is such a different shape second time around. Though I also need to give myself a break as its been only 9 months !
Shoes always look good so thought I would start from the bottom up with a fab and very comfy pair of floral pumps from Hotter.
I decided to start this blog to create a visual log of creative adventures and unusual finds, (love a carboot sale and a charity shop) and to hopefully inspire others to have fun with their personal style and creative projects.
Having worked within the fashion industry for the past 11 years my life was turned upside down with the arrival of my wonderful little boy.
Even as a mum I am determined not to surrender my style even though it has naturally had to adapt. I want to create a wonderful, fanciful, colourful, creative life and home for my little family and for myself and to share this journey with you.Kat x
